Check your public IP address
Every site you visit sees a public address from your connection. This lookup shows that address and the network details published for it, so you can confirm a VPN, check a server, or understand what a website may infer.
Use this page when you need the address your current browser session presents to the internet. The live check collects IPv4 and IPv6 separately, then queries more than one geolocation source. Providers can disagree because they use different registries, anycast announcements, and update schedules.
The lookup runs in your browser against public IP data sources. NetScope does not keep a history of your address unless you later choose to create a shareable diagnostic report.
How to use this tool
- Open the live IP check from this page.
- Wait for IPv4 and IPv6 sources to finish. An empty IPv6 card usually means the network has no public IPv6 path.
- Compare country, region, ASN, and ISP fields across sources before treating any single result as authoritative.

Frequently asked questions
Why do IP lookup providers show different cities?
IP geolocation is an estimate. Databases map address blocks to locations using registry records, operator data, and user reports. A CDN, VPN, or mobile carrier can announce a block far from where you sit.
Does this tool reveal my home address?
No. A public IP lookup can identify a network, city, or region. It does not provide a street address. Treat city-level results as approximate.
